“On June 1st to June 3rd 2023, la Poste Groupe France organized the reception of the members of DigiGreenPost 2025 a European Project funded by Erasmus Plus program including Posta Romana and Elta Post and a wilder cooperation with Greek universities for the research part of the project.
This learning expedition has been hosted with great pleasure by La Poste Groupe on request of PostEurop European Project Teams. The focus was on “how to develop digital and green skills within our postal employees to face the digitalization of public services and postal processes”. It has been a great opportunity to exchange know how and best practices about the topic of the new roles and skills of postal employees into 5 to 10 years during 2 days. The 10 members of the Consortium were inspired by la Poste Groupe’s experience capitalized on this topic since 2012.
Day one was dedicated to a training to experience “the climate Fresk”: 
The goal was to make them see how La Poste works on enhancing its employees’ green skills by this tool of sensibilization. The Climate fresk is a serious game of collective intelligence enabling participants to understand the main causes and consequences of climate change. This experience contributed directly to the objectives of the DigiGreen project to strengthen postal companies’ green skills as pioneers in the environmental transition.
Day 2, members of the Consortium were welcomed at “Plateform 58” the accelerator of la Banque Postale to discover how the French Post was implementing an open innovation program with start-ups from Fintech and AssurTech. In the afternoon, a huge moment has been dedicated to the Global Training Program of La Poste Group labelled by the corporate Human Resources Directorate dedicated to all 230 000 French postal employees. 30 participants from 10 countries attended this session that had been opened also to Innovation Directors members of PostEurop.
A budget of 500 million euros into 3 years is dedicated by HR to foster these training programs aiming to help employees to acquire new digital skills. The participants were astonished above all about the Data and IA School that the French Post opened in 2023 and that today welcome its 3rd student’s year edition successfully.
This learning expedition is a great example of how the cooperation works within the European postal sector, based on trust, transparency and transmission of public service values with the support of European fundings.
